RFQ issued for renewable Scaling Solar Round II project in Ethiopia

Ethiopia’s Public-Private Partnerships Directorate General within the Ministry of Finance issued an RFQ for four renewable Scaling Solar Round II energy projects auction program. The four Utility-Scale Photovoltaic (PV) Project will be developed in areas of Weranso, Welencheti, Humera and Mekelle. The projects have a total power capacity up to 500 MW.

The RFQ round will pre-qualify prospective bidders with the requisite experience, expertise, and financial resources to rapidly deliver the solar PV PPP Projects. Then the next stage will involve a Request for Proposals (RFP) from pre-qualified bidders.

The deadline to submit the RFQ is May 29, 2019.
