Resolute Mining to get 40MW solar hybrid power plant for Syama Gold Mine

Resolute Mining has signed a Joint Development Agreement with Ignite Energy for the development of 40 MW independent solar hybrid power plant for Syama Gold Mine in Mali.

Ignite Energy take care of the design, construction, ownership, funding, and operation of the project.

The project will be the largest off-grid in the world, fully integrated hybrid of combined solar, battery and heavy fuel oil, for a stand-alone mining operation in the world.

The project is expected to operate in 2020 replacing the existing 28 MW power station fueled by diesel.
