Red Eléctrica closed acquisition of Centinela Transmisión from Antofagasta

Red Eléctrica has completed the acquisition of the entire stakes in Centinela Transmisión from Antofagasta Plc. The deal represents a total investment of EUR100 million (USD 117.2 million).

The acquired assets include three transmission lines, extending for 265 km, which feed the Centinela copper mine. This will further Red Eléctrica managed network to 1,729 km in Chile. 

The proceeds of the sale enable Antofagasta to focus on its core activity of producing copper.
