The Public Service Commission of Wisconsin (PSCW) has approved the construction plans for the planned 150 MW wind park located in Kossuth County in Iowa.
The project features up to 60 wind turbines and is expected to generate electricity for about 57,000 homes in Wisconsin. It is part of the Alliant Energy’s plan to add 1,150 MW of new wind power generation capacity in Wisconsin and Iowa by 2021.
With the granting of regulatory approval, Alliant Energy intends to start the construction of the project by mid-2019 and is expected to be completed by 2020.
