Atlantis Resources has awarded SgurrEnergy the asset management contract for the 6-MW MeyGen Phase 1a tidal energy project in Pentland Firth, Scotland. The company will act as Meygen’s operations contractor initially providing National Grid Control Point services, with the option for expanding services in the future including remote operational monitoring, and control and reporting for Meygen tidal turbines

ABO wind submitted an appeal to the Planning and Environmental Appeals Division (DPEA) of the Scottish Government against the refusal of planning permission for the project.
