The planned transmission line project in Missouri, Grain Belt Express Clean Line, has encountered a setback from the Missouri House of Representatives and a possibility of being blocked by the State Legislature.
The agricultural community has raised objections to the project stating that the thousands of land will be lost to easements for the development of the transmission line project.
The project seeks to deliver up to 4 GW of power from western Kansas to Missouri, Illinois, Indiana and states farther east that have strong demand for clean, reliable energy.
