Polenergia SA has started the construction work of 38 MW Szymankowo onshore wind farm in Miloradz, in the Pomeranian Voivodeship, northern Poland.
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development supports the project with a long-term loan of up to PLN42 million (US$10.86 million). The mBank, ING Bank Śląski and other financial partners are also included in the financial package with a total worth of PLN107 million (US$16.8 million)
The Szymankowo wind farm, owned and operated by Polenergia S.A, features 11 turbines supplied by Siemens Gamesa and in-service Szymankowo for 25 years after commissioning. The project is expected commissioned in 2021. The wind farm is expected to generate enough electricity to supply about 60,000 households and reducing up to 104,000 tons of CO2, 98 tons of SO2, 99 tons of NOx and 35 tons of CO annually.
