PNE AG, which is internationally active in the development and operation of projects, is taking over the "Papenrode" wind farm in the west of Lower Saxony. The wind farm comprises 15 wind power turbines with a total nominal capacity of 223 MW. PNE AG is planning to prepare the wind farm for repowering. PNE will initially operate the wind farm in-house.
By way of repowering, the electricity generation of a wind farm can be multiplied. This has been proven by the experience gained in other projects that PNE has already repowered in recent years.
PNE AG's own electricity generation will be further strengthened by the takeover of the "Papenrode" wind farm. As a result, this area will be expanded to include wind farms with a total rated nominal capacity of 89.9 MW.
