Perimeter Solar has signed a solar energy supply agreement with TC Energy Corporation. Perimeter obtained the agreement with the assistance of EDC Associates of Calgary and Ventum Real Asset Finance of Toronto.
Earlier, Perimeter formalized the agreement with TC Energy to supply 74.25 MW-AC of electricity from its 130 MW solar PV project located near Claresholm, Alberta. Delivery of energy under the supply agreement will begin following commercial operation of the project, which is targeted at the end of September 2020. Construction on site is likely to begin by the end of 2019 as the project has secured all requisite approvals.
Perimeter Energy’s equity partner in the project is Obton A/S of Denmark, which is also among the Canadian firm’s shareholders.
