Soitec has closed the sale of a 20% stake in the 44 MW MWp concentrated photovoltaic (CPV) power plant project located in Touwsrivier in the Western Cape province of South Africa.
Soitec has sold the interest in the CPV Power Plant No 1 to Pele Green Energy for an estimated investment of EUR5.2 million (US$5.6 million).
The transaction also includes the redeeming of about EUR11.3 million (US$12.2 million) loan granted by Soitec to Pele Green Energy.
