Ørsted A/S has joined forces with BP Plc to develop a 50 MW hydrogen electrolyser project at BP's Lingen refinery in Emsland of north-west Germany.
The Lingen Green Hydrogen project can generate one tonne of renewable hydrogen per hour, or about 9,000t/year once operational.
The developers have applied for funding from the EU Innovation Fund. The project is expected to enter into commercial operation by 2024.
