Ofgem has granted a licence to Diamond Transmission Partners (DTP) to own and operate the project. Under the OFTO regime, DTP takes ownership of the operational transmission asset and receives contractual, availability-based revenues over a 20-year period. DTP does not have exposure to construction risk, electricity production or power price risk. RES (Renewable Energy Systems) will provide certain operations and maintenance services for DTP under a long-term subcontract

Burbo Extension Limited, a joint venture owned by Ørsted (50%), Kirkbi (25%) and PKA (25%), has signed an agreement for the sale of its transmission assets to Diamond Transmission Partners Burbo Bank Extension Limited (DTPBBE Ltd), the licensee entity incorporated by the consortium comprising Mitsubishi Corporation and HICL Infrastructure Company Limited
