NorthStar Midstream has reported that the expansion of JAX liquefied natural gas (LNG) project in Jacksonville continues towards being in service by the fourth quarter of 2021. In addition, the company has recently closed on a US$137 million debt financing facility to support the expansion.
The expansion of the current JAX facility includes tripling of its production capacity to 360,000 LNG gallons/day, doubling storage capacity to 4 million LNG gallons, as well as the construction of the 5,400 cubic meter capacity barge unit, Clean Canaveral. It will allow to supply LNG to existing customers, take on new customers and deliver LNG to points anywhere from Savannah, Georgia to Miami, Florida.
