NextEra Energy Resources, a subsidiary of NextEra Energy, Inc, has started the construction phase of the 160 MW Sholes Wind Energy Center project in Nebraska, USA. The facility has an existing 20-year power purchase agreement with the Omaha Power Public District (OPPD).
The project represents a more than $200 million investment in Nebraska and creates approximately 200 jobs during the construction phase. It is expected to commence its commercial operation by December 2018.
