Currently under development by Reach Solar Energy, the proposed Yarrabee Solar Project will provide renewable energy to eastern Australia for years to come. Located on Yarabee Park, approximately 23km from Narrandera, NSW, the project will be built in phases. The first phase is planned to have a capacity of 300MWac and be connected to the adjacent transmission network.
Construction is expected to extend over 2 years, producing an abundance of natural energy for 30 – 40 years. With 15 – 25 permanent staff, and approximately 450 staff during peak construction, the local community will see a variety of benefits. The Yarrabee Solar Project was conceived with the goal of producing renewable energy for eastern Australia. The implementation of the project will help Australian’s convert to the use of renewable energy.
The project will include the installation of:
The project can help eliminate CO2 emission equivalent up-to 540,000 cars removed from the road. It can produce a total energy up to 2,250 GWh per year. It can provide clean electricity to up-to 315,000 equivalent number of houses.
