Minesto commissions 100 kW Dragon 4 tidal kite in Faroe Islands

Minesto AB has announced that its first Dragon 4 tidal power unit has been successfully operational in Vestmannasund, Faroe Islands.

The facility achieved satisfactory electricity production and verified core functionality. The project immediately began to produce power for the grid, and the commissioning plan was carried out according to schedule.

According to a statement from Minesto, the commissioning outcomes validate the 100 kW first kite-like plant's commercial performance from its Dragon Class product line.
