Max Bögl OSTWIND GmbH (MBO) has announced that it has sold the Reichertshüll and Workerszeller Forst wind farms, both located between Nuremberg and Ingolstadt in southern Germany, to the IST3 Investment Foundation in Zurich.
Together, the wind farms comprise 16 turbines with a total of approximately 53 MW installed capacity. They were initially developed by Regensburger OSTWIND Group in 2013 and built in 2017 in co-operation with the Max Bögl Group. Both family businesses come from Bavaria and operate the joint venture Max Bögl OSTWIND GmbH (MBO) for wind energy projects.
Now in operation for over a year, the wind farms supply more than 38,000 households in the region with sustainably generated energy. Service and maintenance work for both wind farms and the electrical substation, which was also acquired by IST3 Investment Foundation, will continue to be performed by local businesses in the region.
