Maine PUC approves off-take contract for 72.6 MW Weaver wind project

The Maine Public Utilities Commission (PUC) has approved the 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA) deal for the output of the 72.6 MW Weaver wind project in Hancock County. 

The agreed price in US$0.035 per kWh and it will be rising at a rate of 2.5% per year. The power output of the project will be sold to Emera Maine. 

Longroad Development Partners, the developer of the project, plans to put the project into operation by 2020.
