United Green has inaugurated the 50 MW Baikonur solar power plant located in the Kyzylorda region in southern Kazakhstan.
The project is developed by Baikonur Solar LLP, a subsidiary of the United Green Group. It has received joint financing of about US$52.4 million from the European Investment Bank (EBRD), the Clean Technology Fund (CTF) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in 2018.
The solar plant consists of 150,000 solar panels and 14 central inverters.
