Israel shortlists 11 bidders for 300 MW solar with energy storage project near Dimona

The Government of Israel has shortlisted 11 bidders for the development of a 300 MW solar photovoltaic farm with a battery energy storage project located in the Negev desert. 

The groups that submitted are: Alumi-Phoenix (Israel), Ormat-Allied (Israel), Skatek-Solgreen (Norway-Israel), Shikun VeBinui (Israel), Mishkim (Israel), Shafir-Elmor (Israel), Keren Noy (Israel), Inventory (USA), Keystone-SolarPack (Israel, Spain), EDF (France), Energix (Israel).

In January 2020, the Ministry of Energy and Ministry of Finance of Israel has launched a tender for the construction of the solar project with energy storage near the city of Dimona in the country's southern district. The project is planned to start operation by the end of 2024.
