The Government of Castilla-La Mancha has announced that it has sanctioned a new renewable energy project in the region, proposed by PHOTOSOLAR MEDINA 4 SL. The project involves the development of a 50 MW solar photovoltaic power plant in Almansa, in the province of Albacete, and an investment of more than EUR33.5 million (US$38.9 million).
The plant is expected to produce 90 GWh per year, which could supply electricity to 36,000 homes. In addition, the project will employ more than 90 workers during the construction phase and generate important revenues for the town hall and the owners of the land to be leased.
All the required authorisations have now been obtained. This process took just four months, significantly less than in other regions of Spain.
REDEN Solar has announced that it has successfully completed the refinancing of its Portuguese and Spanish assets, raising a total of EUR100.5 million (US$116.60 million) in the process.
