Goldwind Americas, a unit Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology, has installed the first turbines at the 200 MW Golden South Wind Energy Facility located in Assiniboia, Saskatchewan, Canada.
The project, developed by Potentia Renewables Inc, will feature 50 units of 4.2 MW turbines with 136 and 155 meters (446-508 ft) rotors, supplied by Goldwind.
Golden South Wind Energy Facility is expected to produce about 900,000 MWh annually and offsets up to 500,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.
