KP Energy has awarded a contract to General Electric Co to supply wind turbines for the 300 MW wind project located in the Kutch district of Gujarat, India. GE will supply wind turbines with 2.5 MW nominal individual capacity.
KP Energy has carried out development activities such as resource mobilisation, lands and permits acquisition, statutory approvals and route surveys. It has received payment of INR 284.5 million (USD 4.1m) towards the development progress.
The project is expected to be commissioned by September 2019.
