The first turbine at Vattenfall’s 406 MW Horns Rev 3 offshore wind farm has been installed in the North Sea off the west coast of Denmark. With a rotor diameter of 164 meters, the total height of the turbines is 187 meters.

The installation of the turbines is expected to last until November and the wind farm is expected to be in full operation at the beginning of 2019. The 49 turbines are expected to produce 1,700 GWh a year, which will cover the annual consumption of approximately 425,000 Danish households.
