Falck Renewables S.p.A., through its subsidiary Falck Renewables Vind AS, has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) to sell 70% of the electricity produced by its Hennøy wind farm (Norway) to a major European commodity player.
The agreement, whose duration is 10 years, allows Falck Renewables to hedge 70% of the production of one of its recently constructed projects in the Nordic market.
The Hennøy wind farm (50 MW), which is located in the Bremanger Municipality, on the west coast of Norway and reached commercial operations in December 2019, will generate approximately 170 GWh of electricity per year, enough to power between 8,700 and 10,900 homes.
