Sunseap Group Pte Ltd has signed a virtual power purchase agreement (VPP) with Facebook Inc for the generated output of its 5 MWp floating solar photovoltaic project in the Straits of Johor.
In March 2021, Sunseap has started the commercial operation of the floating solar project.
The 5-hectare facility will generate about 6,388 MWh of renewable energy annually, equivalent to powering about 1,250 4-room flats, with a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions of about 2,600 tonnes every year.
