Eurasian Resources Group (ERG) plans to develop and construct a 155 MW wind project that will be located near the town of Khromtau in Aktobe, Kazakhstan.
The project will require about KZT100 billion (US$209.68 million) of investment and will generate enough power for the consumption of ERG’s Kazchrome Donskoy GOK plant. The wind facility will be built on over 150 ha of land and is expected to offset 520,000 tons of CO2 emissions annually.
The construction of the project is expected to generate 300 jobs. ERG targets to start the commercial operation of the project by 2024.
