Engie has installed the first out of 51 Siemens Gamesa wind turbines of Tonstad wind project in Norway.
The project involves the development of the 208 MW wind farm located in the municipalities of Sirdal and Flekkefjord in southern Norway. The annual production will be more than 0.6 TWh, and will save nearly 526,000 tons of CO2 emission.
Construction work has begun in mid-2018. Commercial operation is scheduled in 2020.
SUSI Partners AG owns an 80% stake in the project, while Engie holds the remaining 20%.
