Enel Green Power España (EGPE) has started construction on the Nou Biniatria photovoltaic plant, in the municipality of Alcúdia, Mallorca, with an installed capacity of 14.97 MW.
Enel Green Power also received the go-ahead for the construction of the Sa Caseta photovoltaic plant, in the municipality of Llucmajor, Mallorca, with an installed capacity of 21.83 MW.
The construction of the Nou Biniatria project will involve an investment of around EUR13 million (US$ million). The photovoltaic plant will consist of 38,880 photovoltaic panels, each with the capacity to produce 385 Watt peak of power from solar radiation, and 72 inverters, each with a capacity of 185 kW. As part of the construction process, EGPE will install two transformer stations and a private substation, in addition to a 1.7 km underground transmission line, which will run along existing roads to the REE-owned Sant Martí substation.
