Enap and international energy companies have come together to convert an existing port terminal in the Magallanes region in Chile into a green hydrogen logistics complex. Enap has teamed up with Total Eren Chile, HIF Chile, FreePower Group, Grupo EDF, RWE, and HNH Energy to undertake this project.
The primary focus of the agreement is Enap's Gregorio maritime terminal, which will serve as the epicenter for various green hydrogen production initiatives in the region.
The initial phase of the agreement will involve comprehensive feasibility studies to assess the logistical and operational requirements for the conversion and ongoing management of the complex. Key objectives include streamlining the importation of wind turbines and facilitating the exportation of hydrogen and its derivatives.
