Elecnor and Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy have won a EUR122 million (US$142 million) contract to develop the 100 MW Boulenouar wind project in Mauritania.
Mauritanian Electricity Company, also known as Somelec, has designated Elecnor to do the engineering and construction works while Siemens Gamesa will supply the wind turbines.
The project is expected to commence commercial operations by last quarter of 2019.
