EBRD considers to support the 30 MWp Kazakh solar project

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is now on final reviews for the application from China’s Universal Energy Co Ltd, through its unit, Zhangiz Solar LLP for the construction of 30 MWp Universal Energy Zhangiz solar project near Zhangiztobe, Kazakhstan.

The project has an estimated cost of US$22.5 million. The EBRD will provide up to US$12 million while the Green Climate Fund will provide US$5 million.

The project, once operational, can produce electricity up to 42,000 MWh enough to eliminate 35,450 tonnes of CO2 annually.
