The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has approved the EUR9.1 million (US$10.7 million) loan to the Albanian state-owned power utility Korporata Elektroenergjitike Shqiptare (KESH) for the development of a 12.9 MW floating solar project.
The project will be built in the water reservoir of the Vau i Dejës hydropower plant in Albania.
The solar farm aims to contribute to making KESH more resilient to climate change in terms of power generation.
