Dominion Energy Inc and Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority have announced they will partner for the development of a 100 MW solar photovoltaic plant on approximately 1,200 acres at the Washington Dulles International Airport in Virginia.
The solar plant will be connected to the existing transmission line located at a site owned by the airport. It is expected to power up to 25,000 homes. The solar facility would be one of the largest in Northern Virginia
The project is planned to be operational by 2023.
