Cubico Sustainable Investments (Cubico) has completed the acquisition of two wind farms in Uruguay with a combined capacity of 102 MW from ACS and Sowitec.
The two wind projects are the 49 MW Kiyu wind farm located in San Jose and the 53 MW Vientos de Pastorale in Flores, Uruguay. Sowitec held the minority shareholding in the Pastorale project. Both projects are already in operation.
Cubico was advised by White & Case Madrid, Posadas, Posadas & Vecino Montevideo and Estudio Rodrigo Lima (Legal), DNV (Technical), Willis (Insurance) and KPMG (Tax & Accountant). The financial information of the transaction was not disclosed.
