Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners has completed the acquisition of the European onshore renewable energy business of Ørsted through its fifth flagship fund (CI V) across key markets, including Ireland, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Spain, and launched it as a new standalone platform, Perigus Energy.
Perigus Energy aims to strengthen Europe’s energy security and advance the transition to clean power by developing, constructing, and operating onshore wind, solar, and battery storage projects across Ireland, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Spain. Its current portfolio generates clean and reliable energy sufficient to supply around 600,000 European homes, with five additional projects presently under development in Ireland and Germany.
Perigus Energy has a total operational and under-construction capacity of 826 MW, supported by a resilient commercial structure, combining government-backed support schemes and corporate power purchase agreements (CPPAs). All existing contracts, partners and counterparties remain unaffected by the transaction. Headquartered in Cork, Perigus Energy has over 200 people working on site and from offices in Regensburg, Lauf, Potsdam, Essen, Hamburg, London, Edinburgh and Madrid.
