The government council of Canary Islands has approved the development of the 6.9 MW Parque Eolico Los Nicolases wind project proposed by Gas Natural Fenosa Renovables SLU, a unit of Naturgy Energy Group SA.
The wind park will be developed in the municipalities of Santa Lucia de Tirajana and Aguimes on the island of Gran Canaria.
The project has been awarded the Declaration of Environmental Impact from the Ministry of Territorial Policy, Sustainability and Security. It will now launch a public consultation with local authorities.
