Brazil grants environmental permit for eucalyptus-based biomass project in Mato Grosso do Sul

The Government of Brazil has granted an environmental license authorizing the development of a 50 MW eucalyptus-based biomass power plant located in Tres Lagoas in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul. 

The project which will require an investment of BRL320 million (US$87.15 million) will be developed by local company Eldorado Brasil.
