Brazilian development bank, Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social (BNDES), has approved the BRL568 million (US$107 million) loan for the EDP Renovaveis (EDPR) to expand the development of the Jerusalem wind complex to 180.6 MW.
EDPR will use the investment to construct six wind parks consist of 43 wind turbines and transmission connections. The projects will be installed in the municipalities of Lajes, Pedro Avelino, and Pedra Preta in Rio Grande do Norte state.
In 2018, the project is part of the 835 MW auction launched by Brazil's Câmara de Comercialização de Energia Elétrica (CCEE - Chamber of Electric Energy Commercialisation).
