Bluefield Solar Income Fund Ltd (BSIF) has completed the acquisition of a 93.2 MW solar and wind portfolio in the UK from an undisclosed UK-based fund manager for a total of GBP 112.4 million (US$137.51 million) in equity.

The portfolio consists of 15 solar PV plants with a total capacity of 64.9 MWp and four wind farms with a combined capacity of 28.3 MWp. The projects are developed across England, Wales, Northern Ireland, and Scotland. Five of the solar projects have been granted feed-in-tariffs and the remaining 10 get Renewable Obligation Certificates (ROCs), while all of the wind projects are accredited under the ROC regime.

The transaction has been initially financed through BSIF's new and enlarged GBP100 million (US$122.5 million) revolving credit facility, provided by RBS International and Santander UK.
