Australia's Mineral Resources has offered AUD484 million (US$364 million) to take over AWE, worth AUD0.80 a share. AWE has told shareholders not to act while it considers the two offers. Both offers are well below a valuation of A$0.91 from analysts at Royal Bank of Canada, which ran a recent share sale for AWE.
