Ameren Missouri has mutually agreed with EDF Renewables to terminate the plans of acquisition of EDF´s 157 MW wind facility in Atchison County.
Ameren noted that significant upgrades to the transmission system would be required, leading to unacceptably high costs.
In October 2018, Ameren Missouri had entered into an agreement with EDF Renewables to acquire the Brickyard Hill wind project. It is expected to generate enough energy to power 47,000 homes.
