Whitehelm Capital appoints Matteo Andreoletti and Wessel Schevernels

Infrastructure manager Whitehelm Capital has announced two senior appointments to its London office, Matteo Andreoletti and Wessel Schevernels.

Matteo Andreoletti has joined as Division Director and Wessel Schevernels will join the Whitehelm team in June 2015 as Division Director. This brings Whitehelm’s London team to a staff of 14 people and brings Whitehelm’s total team to over 50 people.

Mr Andreoletti has over a decade of experience in principal investment origination, analysis and execution, in prior roles at CP2, Societe Generale and Macquarie Capital. Mr Andreoletti has a wealth of experience in infrastructure deal origination, execution and asset management. He joins Whitehelm to focus on European deal origination.

Mr Schevernels will join the London team in June 2015. He has extensive experience in the tank terminal and shipping industries, including 13 years working internationally for Vopak, in Germany, Sweden, UAE and Singapore. He has previously held responsibility for marketing, sales, business development, project management and commercial aspects of bulk liquid storage facilities. A number of Whitehelm’s existing clients hold significant interests in bulk liquid storage and shipping infrastructure assets and Mr Schevernels joins the London team with a focus on adding value to these investments.

Gary Withers, CEO Whitehelm Capital, commented:

“I am pleased to welcome Matteo to the London team. He brings an exciting new set of experiences and relationships. The addition of a dedicated resource to investment origination will provide attractive investment opportunities for our clients.”

“The addition of Wessel to the team will enhance our asset management capabilities, and we expect all of our clients existing and future investments to benefit from his extensive industry experience.”

The recruitment of Mr Andreoletti and Mr Schevernels is in addition to the previous announcement by Whitehelm Capital of the recruitment of Saji Anantakrishnan as Head of Australia and Asia and the appointment of Alexander Waller, Head of Infrastructure Debt, to the Management Group.
