The Ministry for Energy, Mines and Renewable energies of Tunisia has launched two deadlines for the tender process involving 210 MW of renewable power generation.
The tender calls for wind and PV projects. Interested firms are expected to submit their bid proposals by November 15, 2017, by noon.
Wind bids for up to 70 MW will be tendered by November and another 70 MW will be tendered by August 15, 2018. According to the ministry, wind power proposals will be accepted in two batches. The first batch will seek bids for 60 MW of capacity while the second will accept smaller bids of up to 10 MW.
Regarding the solar tender, it will be also split in two batches with the deadline set on November 15, 2017. The same as in the wind tender, the first batch is planned to attract bids for up to 60 MW in capacity with 10 MW max capacity per project, while the second batch will tender up to 10 MW with a 1 MW cap per project.

The Tunisian government has launched a 210 MW wind and solar tender. The government, through the Department of Energy published an invitation to tender on May 11 with a budget of around TND400 million (US$164.2 million).
