Trianel Erneuerbare Energien GmbH & Co KG (TEE) has announced it has acquired the 24 MW Gebersreuth wind farm in Thuringia (Germany), from Fronteris GmbH.
The wind farm, which is currently under construction, is located near Gefell, a town in the Saale-Orla-Kreis district. The project comprises eight Enercon E-115 turbines that will produce 56 million kWh annually. Fronteris will supervise the construction of the project.
It is expected that the wind farm will be completed and commence operation in the second quarter of 2017.
TEE aims to invest in renewable energy projects. The company intends to build a portfolio of solar plants and wind farms with a total capacity of 275 MW by the end of 2018.
In September, we reported that TEE acquired a wind farm project in the Bavarian district of Bayreuth. The 14.4 MW Creussen wind farm is also being built by Fronteris GmbH, which started construction in late August.
Trianel continues the cooperation with the Fronteris, whose first collaboration was the project located in Eckersdorf and Thurnau 30 kilometers away.
