Tender issued for transmission project in Nepal

The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has launched a tender for the development of the Chobhar Patan Chapagaun 132 kV underground transmission line project in Kathmandu, Nepal. 

The scope of work covers the Design, Supply, Installation, Testing, and Commissioning of the transmission line project that connects the three municipalities of Chobhar, Patan, and Chapagaun. Only bidders with the following key qualifications should participate in the bidding:

  • Must have a minimum average annual turnover of US$17.40 million within the last three years;
  • Must have satisfactory experience in at least two contracts that have been successfully or substantially completed within the last 10 years and that are similar to the proposed contract, where the value of the Bidder’s participation on each contract exceeds US$10.90 million. Out of the two (2) Contracts, one(1) should have been executed outside the Bidder’s home country.

The deadline for the submission of tender is on August 18, 2023.
