Tender issued for distribution system installation project in Ethiopia

Ethiopian Electric Utility has invited bids for the design, finalization, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of a medium voltage distribution system in seven towns.

The project is segmented into two sections, outlined as follows:

  • Lot 1: Covering Bishoftu, Sululta, and Debrebirhan; and
  • Lot 2: Encompassing Asela, Dilla, Hosaena, and Jigjiga.

The Ethiopian government has secured funding from the World Bank to support the Access to Distributed Electricity and Lighting in Ethiopia (ADELE) initiative. Proposals must be physically delivered by October 16, 2023.
