Technology provider for 1,075 MW offshore wind park in the UK

MHI Vestas is to supply turbines for 1,075 MW Seagreen offshore wind project in the Firth of Forth offshore wind zone. MHI Vestas has entered into a preferred supplier agreement with Seagreen Wind Energy Limited to supply and service up to 114 wind turbines for Scotland’s newest and largest offshore wind farm.

SSE Renewables, together with its partner Fluor Corp, is building Seagreen Offshore Wind Farm, which will be one of the most significant construction projects undertaken in Scotland. The project envisages the construction of two wind parks - Seagreen Alpha and Seagreen Bravo located approximately 27km and 38km respectively off the coast of Angus, eastern Scotland.

The site will provide around 5,000GWh annually of clean, low carbon renewable energy for around one million homes and saving around two million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually.
