SolAmerica Energy, LLC, a solar design, development and construction firm, has appointed N. Leland Shuman as Senior Vice President of Project Finance to the company’s management team.

R. Stanley Allen, president of SolAmerica, stated:

“We are pleased to have Lee join us in a role on our finance and development team. Lee’s significant experience in developing and financing large power projects will be instrumental in allowing us to offer our EPC clients cost-effective financing options and to pursue innovative financing approaches to projects we develop."

Lee Shuman has more than 15 years of experience in corporate and project finance and strategic transaction execution in the power generation industry. Much of Lee’s career was at GenOn Energy (formerly known as Mirant and later acquired by NRG Energy) where he participated in numerous domestic and international transactions valued at more than $8 billion that included acquisitions, divestitures, reorganizations, new project developments, and project financings. Additionally, Lee has experience working with renewable energy companies to evaluate projects and optimize their financial structure.

Lee holds a B.A. from Emory University, an M.B.A. and Masters of Taxation from Georgia State University, and a J.D. from the University of Georgia.

Founded in 2009, SolAmerica Energy, LLC is a Developer, EPC, and Operations & Maintenance Provider of solar photovoltaic (PV) projects for commercial, industrial, and government clients.
