Snowy Hydro Board approves proceeding with 2 GW expansion
The independent Board of Snowy Hydro Limited has approved a final investment decision to proceed with Snowy 2.0, a pumped hydro project that will provide 2000 MW of on-demand generation and 350,000 MWh of large-scale energy storage.

Tilt Renewables achieves financial close of US$400 million wind project in Australia
Tilt Renewables has announced that the 336 MW Dundonnell Wind Farm located in Western Victoria, south-east Australia, has successfully reached financial close. The project is expected to cost AUD560 million (US$404.2 million).

Snowy Hydro contracts 888 MW wind and solar power in Australia
Australian energy provider Snowy Hydro has announced that it has signed Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) for eight wind and solar projects totalling 888 MW. Located across New South Wales and Victoria, states in the south-east of Australia, the projects are expected to generate about 2.8 terawatt hours of energy annually.

US$475 million waste-to-energy project in Australia reaches financial close
DIF has announced that it has achieved financial close of a AUD668 million (US$476.1 million) greenfield waste-to-energy facility in Kwinana, near Perth, Australia, in consortium with Macquarie Capital and Phoenix Energy Australia. DIF has acquired a 60% shareholding in the project through two of its funds: DIF Infrastructure IV and DIF Infrastructure V.

Macquarie joins consortium developing 11 GW renewables hub in Australia
The project company for the Asian Renewable Energy Hub has announced that Macquarie Group has agreed to join the consortium developing the project and provide development capital. Macquarie's consortium partners for the over 11 GW project are Intercontinental Energy, Vestas and CWP Energy Asia.
